The Randy Report - LGBTQ Politics & Entertainment

Today I’m chatting with the oh-so-talented out recording artist Cornelius Versa. Raised on a soundtrack of LeAnn Rimes, Brooks & Dunn, and Verdi, Cornelius blends country storytelling with the drama of his classical roots. His debut album, “The Crystal Cowboy,” is a wide-open jukebox of heartache, rebellion, and queer identity, tracing the road to finally finding his voice. At its core, the new collection is a country album, but the listening experience is bigger than that blending touches of classical arrangements, opera, folk, rock, and pop — or as he likes to call it, “Operatic Americana.” “The Crystal Cowboy,” is available now on all major music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. You can find him on Instagram at instagram.com/corneliusversa, his official website corneliusversa.com, and on YouTube at youtube.com/@corneliusversa

Interview: Pop music star Jake Wesley Rogers drops his debut album "In the Key of Love"
Today, I’m chatting with visionary out pop music artist Jake Wesley Rogers, who just released his debut full-length album, "In the Key of Love." The latest single from the collection, “My Misery,” revolves around a buoyant groove fueled by a marching band-style drumroll and bold piano, all highlighting Jake’s theatrical, larger-than-life sound. Jake recently performed at the 36th GLAAD Media Awards and will be taking his bombastic live show to stages across North America this summer, opening for pop legend Cyndi Lauper on her “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour,” including a two-night finale at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Since his debut in 2020, Jake has been praised by countless major publications including People Magazine, Billboard, Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, PAPER, and Vogue.
