With degrees from Johns Hopkins and Yale, she works as a board-certified emergency physician and conducts research in injury prevention with specific focuses including older driver safety, suicide prevention, and firearm injury prevention. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, and more.
