Conor McGregor isn’t a part of the UFC 303 plans this weekend, but the intrepid Ariel Helwani, Petesy Carroll, and Chuck Mindenhall are still VERY excited for the new main event, which pits fan favorites Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka against one another under a unique set of circumstances. But before they gush over the possibilities of the main event, 3PAC begins with the breaking news of the day: suspensions for Igor Severino and, more importantly, top UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan.
Then, in the UFC 303 preview portion of the program, the guys talk about the short-notice nature of the main event, Pereira’s broken toes, Prochazka’s laser-like focus, and whether all of this favors the former light heavyweight champion. After delivering predictions for the main event, 3PAC then talks about arguably the second-best fight on the card: Ian Machado Garry vs. Michael “Venom” Page. They react to Machado Garry’s critical comments of MVP and debate why MVP has so much to gain with a win over the surging Irishman. After that, they break down the co-main event between Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes.
