Phil and Julian, AKA The Rock Geeks, got together last year to see about recording a podcast, to figure out how the whole podcasting thing works and, most importantly, whether or not it would be fun to do. This debut 'pilot' episode is the result of that process. It's not perfect, but it did turn out to be lots of fun and Phil and Julian learned a lot from the experience about how to produce better future podcasts.
In this first episode of The Rock Geeks, Phil and Julian take a deep dive into Iron Maiden's eponymous debut album in which, amongst other things, they discuss Ian Gillan's recording studio, disinterested record producers, dodgy heavy metal lyrics and getting booted out of the band for liking Queen and The Eagles a little too much.
