With the bye week now behind them, the Miami Dolphins are back to work preparing for the final six games of the season. First up: the struggling New Orleans Saints. On its face, this looks like matchup that favors the Dolphins. The Saints' offense has been largely out of sorts all season, save for the work of WR1 Chris Olave. Tyler Shough took over at quarterback from Spencer Rattler and has been uninspiring. Future Hall of Fame running back Alvin Kamara hasn't been able to operate as his typically high level and he left the Saints' Week 11 game against the Falcons with a knee injury. The Saint's defense has been better, but they are not the dominant force they have been in years past. After another embarrassing loss (this time at home and on a national broadcast), Stephen Ross finally announced on Friday that he and the Miami Dolphins were parting ways with General Manager Chris Grier.
Champ Kelly was assigned the role of Intern General Manager and on Monday morning we learned he had completed a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles that sent DE Jaelan Phillips to Philadelphia in exchange for a 3rd round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.
