What 36 Hours in India Taught Me – Samotivation Podcast Episode 13

Waddup Samoti-nation!?

Let’s start off with the most amazing thing ever about India? What can that be? Bollywood movies, Shahrukh Khan, dancing, girls, the Taj Mahal (that I didn’t get to see), the fact that so many of the CEO of the world’s biggest and most successful companies are Indian: Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Adobe, Harman. While all of those things are amazing, my favorite thing in India was….. THE FOOD! The butter chicken and the garlic naan, roti, chappati (and basically every other type of bread there!), the biryani, the kebab!

The most amazing thing about India was the food. If you know me well, food plays a very central role in my life :D

(The pic above is not mine! I was so busy ENJOYING the food that I completely forgot about taking a picture :D)

All jokes aside, the highlight of my trip was not all these amazing things in India!

It was the good friends that I met with there, after a year of not seeing each other, sending eachother Whatsapp essays and 10 minute voice recordings, tagging each other in memes and sending each other weird videos and songs :P

There is a quote from my favorite book the Godfather that goes like this:

*DJ Khaled Voice* ANOTHER ONE!

And I'm also gonna make YOU an offer you can’t refuse! The FREE audiobook version of the book! You can get it @ audibletrial.com/Samotivation

Just make sure that you are on the US site and NOT redirected to the UK or Canadian one. Otherwise, I don't receive any commission hehe gotta support the platform somehow, right!? :D
Select the US site!   audibletrial.com/Samotivation

So, what DID 36 hours in India teach me about my life!?

1) Moments matter more than the time spent doing something or being somewhere.

2) When you live with intention, you live more happy.
Consciously choose to enjoy your life and the present moment!

3) The world is so much bigger than my problems, my fears, insecurities.

4) People are not as different as politicians and the media would like us to believe.

5) I am blessed with so many things that I take for granted.

6) Sometimes what you perceive as cheap is very precious for somebody else. Not just talking about $ v/s rupees or currency. I mean bread and basic things that we take as granted. Most of us are very privileged but we refuse to see it.

7) Food is amazing. And India has the best food.

8) Friendship is the equivalent of family.

9) Friendship makes distance miniscule and irrelevant.

10) The people make the place. If you are unhappy take a look at the people that you are surrounding yourself with.

11) Surround yourself with winners. People who strive for more in their lives and be better.

12) TRAVEL! TRAVEL! TRAVEL! INDIA IS AMAZING SO GO TO INDIA!

Hope you enjoy this episode!

With Love and Respect,

Sami
