The Scarf Bergara Wore (TSBW), established in 2015, is the original Stockport County fans podcast, created by County fans, for County fans. Hosted by Russ Johnson, alongside Waggie, Dan Culverwell, Jimmy Harmer, Andy Reding, and Stu Hope, we proudly operate independently from any club-affiliated organisations.
Our podcast features guests from all facets of County life, including players, directors, and, most importantly, the fans. Over the years, we’ve expanded to produce two episodes per week, partnered annually with a charity, and covered the ladies’ team. As part of the TalkSport fan network, we offer regular giveaways and occasionally host live events.
Entirely volunteer-driven, TSBW is a true passion project. We may have a small house, but we have a big heart.

Russ, Waggie, and Andy are joined by Match Review & Preview aficionado Steve Bardsley — the man of stats, numbers, and deep dives… who leaves all of that behind for the weekly live show 😅
We get stuck into:
⚽️ Peterborough Preview — Live on Sky!
Who starts? Where do they start? And what are we expecting from the game?
🆕 New Signing: Jack (Paul, according to Russ) Hunt
RWB cover on a short-term deal — does he come straight in given our growing injury list?
🏴☠️ Would We Win the SPL?
A very tongue-in-cheek chat following the comments from Sky Sports presenters last week…
🩼 Injury Table Talk
Hopes, timelines, rumours, whispers — and a bit of transfer gossip thrown in.
🎤 Random Sh*t of the Week
This week it’s Steve in the host’s chair!
The challenge: Would I Lie to You?
Russ, Andy, and Waggie each give Steve three statements (two truths, one lie) about personal County moments.
Steve gets five questions... can he find the fib? 👀
