There is so much of the worldly spirit in us: there are so many atmospheric disturbances in our hearts that we cannot hear the Holy Spirit. And if we do not hear Him, we cannot know what He demands of us in concrete situations. All things considered; if we want to prepare ourselves for Pentecost in the spirit of today's Gospel [John 16:5–16], we must learn to listen much better to what the Holy Spirit is saying in our hearts.
