A social performance manager supporting renewable energy projects in the mining sector, Sindiswa Gaven speaks to us of her experiences of what makes certain social performance teams effective. She shares how working in a cross-functional ways builds confidence and creates more meaning in the work we do. She goes further to call for companies to better involve employees living in neighbouring host communities as well communities themselves in delivering improved social performance outcomes.
