Episode 40: Xaquixe

We’re excited to be partnering with R.I.S.E Artisan Fund - an impact investment portfolio that invests in early-stage artisan enterprises, creating sustainable livelihoods for rural communities with few economic alternatives. To learn more about the R.I.S.E Artisan Fund, click here.

In this episode we are joined by Salime Harp Cruces co-founder of Xaquixe - a glass innovation studio based in Oaxaca, Mexico that specializes in blown glass products made from used glass bottles. We hear about how Salime’s love for Mezcal launched her on a journey to work with hand blown glass; the meaning behind the name Xaquixe; how the brand cultivates impact through innovation in their production process that have led to using sustainable energy, along with knowledge sharing with peers; and how she would like Xaquixe to be remembered.

Check out our short promo teaser here.

This episode of the Social Impact Pulse is a project of the Artesan Gateway and the R.I.S.E  Artisan Fund.
