We hope everyone had an amazing long Fourth of July weekend as we did, but we’re back at it this week! If you’ve ever imagined what it would be like moving to Australia or another country in general, this one’s for you. While you might not be able to tell from her accent, Tiff "Tip" Payton is an American living abroad in Sydney, Australia. At this point she’s lived there cumulatively 10 years, so we get the inside scoop at what an expat is and everything that comes with it. We discuss studying abroad, her path to permanent residency and citizenship, what it’s like being a Black American in Australia, as well as finding jobs/housing/romance/friends in a different country, to name a few!
