<p>A traditional Cinderella variant from Bulgaria. A story of Mara who becomes Cinderella (Pepelashka). We all know the story of Cinderella, or do we only know one sanitised, Bourgeoisie version made famous by one particular author? This Cinderella story deals with the grief of losing a mother, tending to the bones, the love of a cow, and of course a slipper. </p>
