The Third Beer Podcast

The Third Beer is a regular Podcast hosted by Psychologist Chris Dickson and Brett McCallum. Each week they invite a special guest into the studio to talk about men’s health, mental health and general wellbeing whilst sharing a few beers. The focus is on those subjects that blokes find it hard to talk about. Brett has already shared a year-long mental health journey with the help of Chris, and although he is still a work-in-progress, Brett has seen himself become a better human being. While the chat with each week’s special guest will take place in a very informal setting and with an informal style, the conversation and topics are taken 100% seriously. Lets break down personal and world issues, one beer at a time.

The Third Beer with Keiron Byrne
This week on The Third Beer podcast previous guest Kieron Byrne returns to join Chris Dickson and I. Kieron is a psychologist specializing in positive psychology, a talented basketball coach to teenage boys, and is an amazing mate to my co-host Chris Dickson. Ironically, Kieron is unable to drink a beer on the Third Beer podcast as he will go into a coma and die if he consumes any fructose. No joke! As per usual on the Third Beer Podcast, we talk about subjects that blokes find hard to talk about. Today’s topic being the global pandemic, COVID-19. We discuss how COVID has impacted our lives, what lessons it has taught us, and all the highs and lows of this virus. We also reflect on whether or not COVID has taken a toll on our mental health and wellbeing. Have a beer for fructose intolerant Kieron and listen to the full episode on The Third Beer Podcast here. Enjoy, cheers!
