Letting Go of Perfectionism in Faith – Part 1

Welcome back to The Unfiltered Journey! As we step into the third month of the year, a month that biblically represents resurrection and new beginnings, I want to talk about something that has held so many of us back—perfectionism in faith.

For years, I struggled with feeling like I had to “get it all right” before I could truly walk in my purpose. I felt like I had to be the perfect Christian, pray the perfect prayers, and have it all together before I could fully embrace my faith. But the truth is, God never asked for perfection. He asked for progress, obedience, and a heart that seeks Him—even when it’s messy.

In this episode, we’ll dive into:

✅ Where this pressure to be perfect comes from

✅ How perfectionism affects our relationship with God

✅ How to release the need to perform and rest in God’s grace

I hope this conversation encourages you to stop striving and start surrendering. You are not called to be perfect—you are called to walk with Him.

Stick around for Part 2, where I’ll be bringing in a guest to continue this conversation!

📖 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Let’s pray, grow, and walk in faith—together.
