In the late 80's to early 90's - families of suburban Melbourne found them selves in fear! The reason? Mr Cruel!
Mr Cruel's reign of terror included abduction and sexual assault on young girls, but one question still remains, did he murder Kermein Chan?
Kermein's abduction from her home on the evening 13th April 1991 had the hallmarks of Mr Cruel, he had abducted two other girls in the years before - Sharon Wills and Nicki Lynas - but there was one big difference, as Sharon and Nicki were returned, but Kermein? She was murdered.
Did Kermein manager to see the identity of Mr Cruel, forcing him to become a murderer? Or was his intentions to take her for the purpose of murder?
Over 30 years on and Victoria Police have never been able to catch the man behind the name of Mr Cruel, although, there is a long list of suspects - with one admitting to the murder!
