Healing from a trauma

Are you a trauma survivor? How do you deal with your trauma? Have you sought help from an expert or self-recovery?

In this episode, Verna has a guest name, Karen Robinson. Karen Robinson, LCSW, has 24 years of clinical experience as a social worker, therapist, and coach. Karen got both her BSW and her MSW from her home state's University of Maine. Karen is a real, honest, and caring caretaker. She loves also to travel. She is an expert in helping people deal with trauma, anxiety, and depression. Karen likes to read, write, and spend time with her family in her free time.

Today, we're going to discuss

  • Understanding the value of social support in post-traumatic growth
  • A look at post-traumatic relationship issues
  • Talking about a traumatic experience
  • Restoration of health following a traumatic experience
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms
  • The Varieties of Trauma and Their Treatments
  • Where do those who have lost hope go from here?

Most people have some kind of traumatic history, whether it is from their upbringing or from other experiences. However, this episode highlights the significance of overcoming trauma.
