Mainly political, but not always; I hope you’ll find whatever I talk about both entertaining and educational. The name is from a weekly column I wrote in the early 90s, and is a subtle reference to my being “behind enemy lines” - a (then) Republican surrounded by Democrats; that situation has worsened, as I now watch both Democrats & RINOs they slowly turn The Garden State into a Shithole...I believe in true Republican Principles, not in the Establishment GOP these days. So I describe myself as a Constitutional Conservative Libertarian. And thankfully, I’m not as alone as I once thought.

Drew Allen on Current Events and the Legacy of Charlie Kirk

Introduction: In a world increasingly divided by political ideologies, understanding the motivations behind our beliefs can be both enlightening and empowering. In a recent podcast episode, author and publicist Drew Allen delves into pressing current events, including the controversial assassination of Charlie Kirk, and shares invaluable insights on courage, faith, and the importance of speaking out.

Main Content:

1. The Impact of Charlie Kirk's Legacy

Drew Allen's latest book, "For Christ in Country: The Martyrdom of Charlie Kirk," serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges faced by conservative voices in today’s society. Kirk’s untimely death has sparked debates surrounding political rhetoric and the consequences of dehumanization in political discourse. Drew emphasizes that Kirk’s fearlessness and dedication to truth were foundational to his influence, stating, "He relished debates because he studied these issues rigorously."

2. The Reaction to Political Violence

The discussion takes a turn toward the reactions to violence in politics, particularly focusing on comments made by former President Trump regarding the assassination of Rob Reiner. Drew argues that the left often lacks moral authority to condemn such comments, given their own historical rhetoric celebrating violence against conservatives. He asserts, "The militant trans movement is out there killing kids," highlighting the need for accountability in political speech.

3. Drew's Journey into Public Relations

Drew shares his unique journey from an actor in New York City to becoming a prominent publicist for conservative figures. His experiences have shaped his perspectives, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he found himself at odds with many of his left-leaning friends. This experience ignited a passion for writing and political engagement, eventually leading him to work with notable figures such as Tulsi Gabbard and Dr. Ben Carson.

4. The Role of Courage and Faith

Throughout the podcast, Drew emphasizes the importance of courage in the face of adversity. He draws inspiration from Charlie Kirk’s life and the way his faith and conviction allowed him to navigate hostile environments. Drew reflects, "Losing friends during the COVID lockdowns pushed me to be more courageous in my beliefs," demonstrating how personal experiences can fuel a deeper commitment to one’s values.

Conclusion: In a time when political discourse is fraught with division and hostility, Drew Allen’s insights remind us of the importance of courage and conviction. By examining the legacy of Charlie Kirk, we can learn to articulate our beliefs fearlessly and authentically. Key takeaways from this podcast include the necessity of accountability in political rhetoric, the transformative power of personal experiences, and the importance of studying issues deeply to engage effectively in debates.
