Still Serving at 93: Texas’ Oldest County Veteran Service Officer

Texas Veterans Commission’s Claims Department is the busiest in the agency, County Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) are a vital part of the team. In this episode, we meet Donald Bourgeois of Childress County, he turns 93 this year. For the past 11 years, Mr. B has been helping veterans and their families with disability claims, pensions, and survivor's benefits. Hear why he says this “part-time” role is anything but, and why he’s still serving his fellow veterans.
