
I have spoken to countless people who have gone to their doctor or dietitian for weight loss advice. Sometimes the advice the are given is sound but generally quite broad, "eat better, exercise and lose some weight".
The problem comes when the advice changes to something like "Take this pill" or "Weight loss shakes for breakfast are great" or "I think you are a candidate for weight weight loss surgery". It is at this point that it is time to really question the advice that you are being given.
Weight gain comes from food. If we want to lose weight and live a healthy life for the rest of our lives we need to change the food we are eating as well as the bad relationship that we actually have with food.
There is no magic pill when it comes to weight loss. When someone offers you it through pills, shakes or surgery you should run for the hills and never ask that person for weight loss advice again. Because anyone offering that frankly doesn't know very much about how weight loss works at all.
It came on with food and if you want to lose it, you simply need to change your food!
