Yale Campus Update: Finals Week, Fellowship Workshop, Winter Events & Sports Highlights (Dec 8–15)
Hey Handsome Dan, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for December 8 through December 15. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—final exams kick off this Wednesday, December 10, at 9:00 a.m. and run through December 17. Make sure you're prepped and know your exam schedule. Next, if you're eyeing a postgraduate fellowship, there's an Application Q&A Workshop on Wednesday, December 10, from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. It's a great chance to get your questions answered. And don't miss the Yale School of Public Health's Winter Celebration on December 10, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the New Haven Lawn Club. Enjoy light appetizers, drinks, and a raffle benefiting Loaves and Fishes New Haven. Over the weekend, our men's basketball team clinched a thrilling 43–42 victory against Youngstown State in the first round of the NCAA FCS playoffs. Unfortunately, they fell to Montana State in the second round with a 13–21 loss. Hats off to the team for a hard-fought season. Looking for a break from studying? The Yale University Art Gallery is open and free to the public. It's a perfect spot to unwind and get inspired. On the food front, the dining halls are serving up some comforting winter specials this week. Be sure to check the menus and treat yourself during study breaks. This week in New Haven, expect chilly temperatures with a mix of sun and clouds. There's a chance of rain midweek, so keep an umbrella handy. Stay warm and dry out there! Your move: If you're planning to apply for postgraduate fellowships, attend the Application Q&A Workshop on December 10. It's a prime opportunity to get your application questions answered before deadlines approach. That's your quick Campus Update. I'm Jenny—catch you next Monday morning.
