Thea Derks interviewt Theo Verbey over 'Invitation to a Beheading'

In januari 2021 werd de Theo Verbey Stichting opgericht. Zij wil de herinnering aan deze in 2019 vroegtijdig overleden componist levend houden en ik draag hieraan graag mijn steentje bij.

In 2008 componeerde Theo Verbey Invitation to a Beheading, voor het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest. Het was een opdracht van de Vrijdag van Vredenburg (Nu AVROTROSVrijdagconcert) en ik sprak hem voorafgaand aan de wereldpremière op 9 mei 2008 in TivoliVredenburg Utrecht.
