Where Are We Now? Ep 1 - Brown Out Night @ Kisapmata
In this engaging discussion, Kodie Rollan, Simone Medina Polo and Andrés Moreno explore the multifaceted impact of the theatre production ”Kisapmata” by Bianca Miranda. The conversation delves into the significance of the play as a love letter to Filipino culture and a platform for cultural representation within the theatre and the importance of community engagement, exemplified by their recent “Brown Out Night.” Tune in for insights into community engagement, cultural representation, and the transformative power of accountability! Theatre Alberta’s “Where Are We Now?” podcast is produced with the operating support we receive from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Edmonton Arts Council, and Calgary Arts Development. We are grateful for their support. Theatre Alberta is proud to work in and serve members across Alberta in Treaties 6, 7, and 8 Territories, as well as Treaties 4 and 10, and all Regions of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
