S05 E03 - "Night Light" & Robert Weibezahl
Welcome back to our third episode of this fifth season of Theatrical Shenanigans!   Today's play is entitled "Night Light" (https://newplayexchange.org/script/2790001/night-light) and comes to us from Donald Loftus (https://newplayexchange.org/users/19611/donald-loftus & https://donaldloftus.com/) a New York playwright, librettist, and lyricist whose work has been presented on stages across the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Australia, and Sweden. His many one-act plays have been presented at over one hundred festivals worldwide. Before focusing on playwriting full-time, Donald had a distinguished career in the luxury beauty industry & served as the chairman of the boards of both The Fashion Group International and The Fragrance Foundation. He is proud to serve on the Board of Directors of The Dramatists Guild Foundation.  Synopsis: On a freezing winter night, Charlie, a gruff but kind-hearted night watchman at The Broadway Theatre, reluctantly lets in Jimmy, a young chorus boy left homeless after his show’s sudden closure. As they share stories, secrets, and struggles, they form an unexpected bond. Through humour, resilience, and their shared love of theatre, they find hope in each other—proving that even in the darkness, there’s always a light.   Cast: Charlie - Darrin Ingram (https://newplayexchange.org/users/59169/darrin-ingram & https://www.darrin-ingram.com/) Jimmy - Kenny Hertling   And, with this fabulous play I get to chat to the wonderful playwright that is Robert Weibezahl (https://newplayexchange.org/users/17142/robert-weibezahl & https://robertweibezahl.wordpress.com/)   If you can, please Like/Follow/Support us! :-) https://www.buymeacoffee.com/TheatricalShenanigans https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087550385392 https://www.instagram.com/theatricalshenanigans/  https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/RFWScripts
