Karen R. Koenig is a licensed psychotherapist, motivational speaker and international award-winning 8-book author, who has specialized in the field of compulsive, emotional and restrictive eating for more than 30 years.

Based in Sarasota, Florida, she is a co-founder of the Greater Boston Collaborative for Body Image and Eating Disorders.

As a writer, her essays and articles have appeared in a multitude of publications including The Boston Globe and The Boston Herald and she has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal and Women’s Health amongst others and has had her books translated into 10 foreign languages.

She lives and practices in Sarasota, Florida where she provides in-person and teletherapy.
