We are Emily (she/her) and Alex (he/his), married American expats living abroad. One day we realized we didn’t crave the same things in life that everyone around us seemed to want. We were unhappy trudging toward some perceived security and decided to do something to change it. So, in 2021, we sold our house, cars, and almost everything we owned and became location independent. We are now full-time international slow travelers negotiating how to live the dream and a regular life at the same time. We explore the ins and outs of our nomadic lifestyle at the intersection of thoughtful discussion and absurd humor.

This is going back to the U.S

On this episode, we talk about what led us to return to the US. It is not because our journey is over, it is because we want to set ourselves up to save money by spending the most time in the places we love best. It has not been easy to stop traveling temporarily, but we know that if we want to make travel a sustainable part of our lives, we need to start by planning better. And, let's face it, we also need to figure out how to get some funds coming in.
