
Burnout in dance isn't just from spending too many hours in the studio. It's from striving toward perfection you can never reach. When dancers realize they'll never get every technique, every position, every expression "perfect," that's when burnout truly begins. The difference between healthy striving and perfectionism is critical. Research shows perfectionism hampers success and often leads to depression, anxiety, and life paralysis.
