Episode 1.6: The End of the Civil War; a Return to Occupation

The End of the Civil War

Haydn and Michael wrap up the end of the series on Afghanistan, addressing the war as it pertains to the time leading up to 9/11/01. As the battle of Kabul kicks off, and as one General would say, "justice and dignity were crucified," we find ourselves approaching the darkest days of the war in Afghanistan. The Intelligence agencies backing both Taliban and Mujahadeen would categorically deny any involvement, and those of us who hoped that perhaps there would be a silver lining found ourselves sorely disappointed. As the war winds down, who will be the man who was to the right of Bin Laden?

Thank you

To all those who stood with us while we had some growing pains early in this season, who patiently waited to grow with us, and who I hope enjoyed the work that we poured hours into, thank you. We hope that you got as much out of Timber Sycamore presents: Afghanistan as we did. We look forward to seeing you next week for our next series, one where the good and bad is much less ambiguous, and the CIA agents are much more famous. We'll be back to cover parapolitics and all of the spooks who go bump in the night next time, with Timber Sycamore Presents: Operation Condor.

You can find the trailer for that here: on our Youtube. If you appreciate the work that we do and want to be more involved with the podcast you can see what we offer over on our Patreon. As always, we will see you next time.
