Morality as a Theory of Change
On this episode of ToC, we discuss Morality as a Theory of Change highlighting the difficulties in defining moral standards and principles within society. It argues that if we want to remove morality from a theological context and bring it into the secular realm, we must determine objective standards that can be used to define right and wrong. Our guest, Mr Bright, believes that there is something inherent in human nature that predisposes us to consider fairness, relationships, and the way we treat others. This is because humans are social animals and cannot live alone. Without moral principles, it is impossible to organize a society, and as a result, we must develop some form of moral standards.
