Welcome to the very first episode of Tolkien in my Sleep, a podcast designed to help you unwind and drift into a calmer state through the words of J.R.R. Tolkien and beyond.
In this episode, I read three poems: Errantry, a whimsical and winding piece from Tolkien’s early work; a poem of high legend about Eärendil, the mariner who sailed the heavens; and finally, an original poem inspired by Morgoth’s theft of the Silmarils.
The aim is simple—slow, soothing readings of poetry from Middle-earth and related tales, with space to relax, listen, and let the words carry you somewhere quiet.
