This is a space for anyone whose theological perspective feels in crisis. If you grew up as a ”church kid” who only wanted to please God and others, and then got hit with a paradigm-shattering experience... this is for you. If you find yourself questioning where you fit, what you believe, who God is, whom you can trust, how you even begin to find the answers, and why you should even try... this is for you. Especially if you find that through it all and despite all this, there remains a ”still small voice” that keeps gently tugging back to the center.
We’re walking through the entire Scriptures, start to finish, focusing on the larger narrative themes that tie it all together and reveal a God who is in love with his creation and fiercely committed to rescuing his family from the forces of darkness. Join us on the journey of healing and restoration: to walk through suffering together and find resurrection on the other side of deconstruction.

Season 2 Episode 10 of the Trauma-Informed Church Kid podcast
On the journey out of Egypt, the family of Abraham has left a path of destruction and devastation in their wake. And there is about to be one more moment of decreation: the parting of the Sea of Reeds, where Pharaoh and his army are swallowed up by the death-waters. Is this just an angry God, wreaking his vengeance on those he hates? What will it take to satisfy his wrath?
Join us as we go on a journey that is framed around Exodus 14-15, but where we spend time in both Romans 9 and Ezekiel 16 as well. In this episode, we will look at what it means for God to have wrath. We will explore the mode of that wrath ("handing over") and how this can be viewed as a "severe mercy". We will ponder the purpose of wrath, and if there is hope to be found on the other side of it. In the end, we will challenge ourselves to desire the judgment of God -- first in the household of God, and then in a world broken by sin.
I hope you will join me on this journey to find resurrection on the other side of deconstruction! Please like, subscribe, and/or leave a comment! Leave a question on Speakpipe as well: https://www.speakpipe.com/churchkidpod
