Welcome to Day 33 of the Returning Daughter 40-Day Fast. Today, we’re talking about shifting our perspective — learning to see the hand of God at work in places that don’t look finished yet. So often we focus on what hasn’t bloomed, but God is reminding us that He’s been planting all along.
When we pause and look back, we realize God has already gone before us — planting people, opportunities, and moments of grace that will meet us right when we need them. Our waiting seasons are not wasted; they’re watering seasons. God is faithful to bring to life what He has planted.
In this devotion, we see how God has consistently plants us in the right places, even when it didn’t feel like it. From connections that became divine assignments to moments of grace that confirmed His promises, we see that His timing is never random.
Together, we’ll reflect on how to look beyond what we can see and trust that God’s promises are unfolding even now.
Biblical Reflection:
Use Joseph’s story (Genesis 37–50) as an illustration. Joseph couldn’t see how God was using the pit, the prison, and the palace as connected seeds of purpose — but each season was a planting ground for the promise.
In this devotion we reflect on:
How to shift our focus from what’s missing to what God is planting
Why every delay or detour can still be divine preparation
How to hold hope that God’s promises are already in motion
Reflection Question:
Where can we recognize the evidence of God’s planting in our lives — the places, people, and moments He’s already aligned for our good?
