
A champion of social development and a visionary of a beyond-classroom approach to personal growth and consequent scholastic transformation, Arcie G. Mallari is a prime mover in children, youth, and community empowerment anchored on igniting the love of learning that transcends textbook knowledge. He had his postgraduate studies of Educational Management and Leadership at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec in Canada as a Sauvé Scholar by the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation. His work was published in 2012 entitled Human Rights Voices of World’s Young Activists. His concerted efforts with the community recently earned him as one of the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations in the Philippines by the National Youth Commission and Better World Award by San Miguel Corp. He also received several awards such as 2017 Jollibee Family Values of the Year; 2016 as the National Grand Awardee for the CSR Youth Awards Philippines, 2015 Civic Movers of the Year by news network Rappler; and 2014 Ashoka Fellow Nominee among others. His works expanded across the Philippines and Indonesia, training around 5,000 students and mobilizing more than 1,000 parent-‐volunteers who share his vision of Silid Aralan as a platform for personal development.
