Conversations about architectural design, technology, and open source tools that help architects design better and more efficiently. Guests include some of the leading figures and disruptors within architecture, BIM, and computational design fields. We also explore in depth how parametric design can assist designers in getting better and more efficient results.

06 Topologic, lightweight and Beyond BIM with Wassim Jabi
In this podcast episode, we are honoured to talk with Dr. Wassim Jabi, who is the driving force behind an open source software framework called Topologic. Topologic can be used for architectural design with non-manifold geometries to automatically indicate external walls, internal walls, separate spaces, and more. The models that Topologic uses are extremely lightweight, yet the framework allows to take that lightweight massing model and either turn into BIM geometry or do Energy or FEA analysis.
