We ring in the New Year by leaving the Showa era behind at the tail end of the 80s and watching the first Ultra thing of the Heisei era. What we get is a curious and interesting look at the franchise's self-mythologizing through a bona fide TV drama that gives us a pretty lengthy discussion.
