August 21st is my 35th birthday — but it’s also Florida’s first official Fentanyl Awareness Day. This episode is personal. Fentanyl overdose is what took Mary, the person who inspired so much of what I do. Today, I’m not celebrating me — I’m fighting for her, and for the thousands of lives lost every year.In this special episode of Uncovered Investigates, we talk about: • The devastating impact of fentanyl on families and communities • Why carrying Narcan is so important — and how you can get it free in Florida • Breaking the stigma around addiction and overdose • Resources for people struggling, their families, and anyone affected by this epidemic • A tribute to those we’ve lost, and a thank you to those still fightingFentanyl doesn’t care who you are. It doesn’t care about age, race, or status. But we can fight back — with awareness, with compassion, and with action.Florida Resources:•Free Narcan Kits: https://isavefl.com (No questions asked — ships anywhere in Florida)•Florida Department of Health – Overdose Prevention Program: Call 850-245-4444•Live Free!
