Alex Santos (#Philippines) Founder and CEO of Philippine Technical Diver – PHILTECH, IANTD Cave Instructor, Commercial Diver & Member of the Filipino Cave Divers

Alex introduced tech diving to the Philippines in 1993 and was the Philippine licensee for IANTD. For years, he performed deep recovery of valuable objects and victims of drowning. His experience has been called upon many times during disasters at sea. Today Alex mainly does commercial diving. He and his team are known to work in brutal conditions allowing him to observe early signs of DCS and reverse it using in-water recompression. Cave exploration remains his true passion. With a background in Geology, he is better able to appreciate the value of underwater caves.
