Episode 3: Architecture in Cannabis, Interior Design for Cultivators and Dispensary Owners
In the third episode of the Valiant Podcast, Chris visits the Foxborough, MA office of Dennis Colwell, owner and lead architect of his own firm, Dennis Colwell Architects. DCA were some of the first architects and interior designers to enter the cannabis industry with the introduction of mainstream retail cannabis in New England.
The pair talk about the importance of differentiating interior design of cannabis dispensaries to keep customers coming back as the shops become more abundant; building selection and dealing with adjacent businesses; minimizing long lines; parking for busy dispensaries; and so much more! Dennis Colwell and his team have participated in architecture and design of over 3.2 million sq. ft of cannabis facilities around the country, and have been the primary architects for Valiant's cannabis projects for several years, including the new Apotho Therapeutics recreational cannabis dispensary in Plainville, MA.
