Episode 57 - Do Super Teams ruin Sports, Giannis is a champion and the Tokyo Olympics begin

This week we have a sports philosophy special as we debate the merits and demerits of superstar athletes forming superteams. This stems from Giannis Antetekoumpo winning his first NBA title and claiming he did it the ‘hard way. We discuss why he commented, the implication of certain victories meaning more than others, and the narratives players decide for their legacies (08:43). We also deliberate on the opening of India’s medal tally at the Tokyo Olympics via weightlifting sensation Mirabai Chanu (0:00). Finally we ended the show with football and NBA transfer talk (52:50). This week’s episode is a subjective take on how each of us individually rates a championship and if our standards waver when we are faced with the actions of our own teams.
