095: My Anti-Anxiety Holy Trinity | Daily Habits That Keep My Anxiety at Bay

If you’ve been listening to Wake Up Call since the beginning, you know there are a handful of intentional habits I utilize to manage my anxiety. In this episode, I’m giving a quick overview of my top three anti-anxiety habits, AKA my holy trinity, and how you can incorporate them into your own daily routine.

  • Limiting my caffeine intake has been huge for managing my anxiety. Since caffeine is a stimulant, it can initiate that buzzy fight or flight response without you even realizing it. 

  • Alcohol intake can have so many negative effects on the body, and heightening anxiety is one of them. Then it leaves you feeling more tired the next day, causing you to reach for more caffeine. It’s a vicious cycle!

  • When it comes to sleep, focus on quality over quantity. Yes, you need your 8 or so hours a night, but if you’re tossing and turning all night, you’re not going to feel rested. Look into tools like the Oura ring to measure and track your sleep.
