Episode #3 – Eric Lange
There’s a new podcast strutting down Hollywood Boulevard, and, miraculously, it’s not shameful. The Walk of Fame Podcast has arrived, cowboy boots polished and sunglasses on, ready to mix Lone Star swagger with West Coast shine. The show pairs Bryan Kluger, a fast-talking Texan with a penchant for movies and mischief, and Hillary Atkin, a California journalist whose Rolodex is basically the guest list at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Together, they’re here to walk the walk and talk the talk, often at the same time, occasionally with a drink in hand.
Each week, Bryan and Hillary sit down with the people who make Hollywood hum with actors, directors, producers, and the unsung heroes behind your favorite films and TV shows. They peel back the layers of fame and glamour, swapping stories, laughs, and a few libations as they go. Think of it as Inside the Actors Studio if James Lipton had a margarita and a sense of humor.
On this episode, we welcome a guest whose IMDb page is so long it feels less like a résumé and more like a gentle taunt. Of course, we are talking about Eric Lange. You know, the one you last saw skulking through the shadows in Nightcrawler, schooling delinquents in High School High, and, in a twist none of us saw coming in 2025, he popped up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s The Thunderbolts. It’s a career that refuses to stay in one lane, unless that lane is labeled “All of Them.”
Bryan and Hillary sit down with Lange to discuss the craft behind his hundred-plus productions. It's the sort of output that suggests he either doesn’t sleep or has quietly cloned himself somewhere in the Valley. He talks music, illustration, and the kind of deep creative restlessness that only a man who has done both Shakespeare and superhero franchises can pull off. We even wander into the bright lights of the stage, where Lange cut his teeth under the belief that the theatre is the only place where you can yell for two straight hours and still be considered cultured.
Then there’s Ohio. The geographic muse under all his work, and how growing up among its lovely, rectangular buildings somehow forged a connection between architecture and acting. It turns out both professions are about finding structure, embracing collapse, and praying the foundation holds up long enough to get through the third act.
It’s a conversation that is warm, funny, and just sentimental enough to make you consider drafting a thank-you note to your own hometown’s zoning board.
The conversation is lively, touching, and occasionally tipsy. It’s exactly the sort of Hollywood cocktail you didn’t know you were thirsty for. So go ahead, put your feet up, pour yourself something strong, and subscribe to The Walk of Fame Podcast. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and, for once, you’ll feel good about a podcast that actually lives up to its name.
