Woman of the Hour [NETFLIX] and Diddy was Guilty at "Gallons"

In this episode of Welcome to the Poddy, we’re reviewing Woman of the Hour (Netflix), a true crime thriller that somehow mixes murder, dating, and Anna Kendrick’s relentless quirkiness. We pair this strange cinematic stew with a cup of green tea and a handful of Strepsils — because much like this film, our voice is barely holding it together.

This satirical film review dives into the bizarre real-life story of serial killer Rodney Alcala appearing on a dating show, Kendrick’s attempt to out-charm a psychopath, and why the film’s rushed ending left us ready to swipe left. We also get into audition room sexism, police incompetence, and the universal feeling of being on a really bad date.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Welcome to the Poddy without some personal stories, including quiz night chaos, justice that never quite got served, and the time a "nice guy" (nerd) got stood up, potentially making him a walking crime documentary.

Movie reviews, streaming film analysis, true crime with a twist, and dark comedy storytelling — all in one episode.
