Did you ever wish you learned to play guitar or drums but never got around to it? Do you love live music but wish it was you on stage? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to sing in front of hundreds or thousands of people? Well, then, why not come hang out with Nick, Mike, and Jase as we sit back, have a couple drinks, and discuss everything about being in a band.
We’ve spent our entire lives playing music and playing in bands and now comprise the Hudson Valley’s number 1 90’s & 00’s cover band, Run For Cover, playing all the songs we’ve grown up with and love. Whenever you see a band playing at a bar, club, festival, or private party, there’s so more that goes on behind the scenes to make that happen: decades of dedication and practice, tens of thousands of dollars spent on equipment, and thousands of hours of practice, not to mention negotiating with club owners and even organizers, dealing with inter-member conflict, and the struggles of being both artists and businessmen.
Join us as we discuss topics like ”Polygamy: How being in a band is really being married to several people!” and ”Imposter! That’s Not Your Real Name! - A guide to dealing with crazy stalker fans” and ”Why do I have to pay so much for a band to play at my wedding? Don’t they just get drunk and act stupid on stage?” (the answer to that last one is, ”Yes, but...”)

Episode 31: Hop onto my dream ride: A.I. music is better than people music.
This week, the guys tackle a topic that's important in just about every industry - A.I. We explore some AI-generated music with Udio, a service that lets you type prompts in and it'll create a fully-produced, radio-ready song with singing and full-band arrangement. It's remarkable how far AI has come and terrifying how far it can (and probably will go). We explore a number of genres and styles - some are better than others, but, with as good as it is now, it'll be indistinguishable from human-created music in the very near future. To that point, you probably have been listening to AI-generated music for several years now and haven't even noticed...
Oh, and don't tell anyone, but Jase is terrified of spiders.
Thanks to everyone who's seen us in the last few weeks, either deliberately or because your friend dragged you out to the bar that night. We always have a blast playing for you guys - you give us so much love and our only aim is to take you back to the 90's. We love all of you and love interacting with y'all. We're happy to take pics, sign autographs, do body shots (whatever that is), or anything else!Find us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Podbean, and all of your favorite podcast apps and socials.
