In this episode, we ask whether our generation is raising “snowflakes” and explore the shift from free-range childhoods of 20 years ago to today’s risk-averse, safety-first culture.We share our own stories of being left to play out until dark, taking risks (that could have gone badly, but usually didn’t), and how disconnected we often were from our parents compared to kids today. We also reflect on the fears that hold us back as parents now - from safety concerns to social pressures, and question whether our protectiveness is helping or harming resilience.
