Nashville Buzzes with Thanksgiving and Holiday Festivities
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Today in Nashville, there is plenty to do for everyone in the family. The Nashville Turkey Trot is happening this morning, a multi-award-winning event that gets the community moving and celebrating together. If you are looking for something festive, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is also on today, starting at 8:30 a.m., featuring the Radio City Rockettes and some electrifying performances. For a more local experience, many restaurants and cafes are open, including the Loveless Cafe, where you can grab a famous biscuit and enjoy a delicious meal without the hassle of cooking.

This weekend, the fun continues. The Country Music Hall of Fame is open with special exhibits, including one on Lainey Wilson. Opryland Hotel transforms into a winter wonderland, with over two million twinkling lights, ice skating, snow tubing, and even a horse carriage ride. The Nashville Zoo is hosting Zoolumination, the country's largest lantern festival, which is a dazzling display of lights and magical experiences. The Adventure Science Center is perfect for families, offering hands-on exhibits and activities for all ages.

For those who love the outdoors, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens is open for holiday lights, where you can see one million lights, visit Santa, and make s’mores. The Franklin Theatre is showing classic holiday movies like Elf and A Christmas Story, so grab some popcorn and enjoy a film on the big screen. If you are in the mood for live music, 3rd and Lindsley has several shows this week, including the Mile 8 Annual Thanksgiving Show and a daytime Hit Songwriters Show. The Ryman Auditorium is also hosting Béla Fleck & The Flecktones for their Jingle All The Way concert.
