This film adaptation of the insanely successful Broadway Musical is finally here. And it didn't disappoint. Just a little side note: Emily's sister was IN THE MUSICAL on BROADWAY!!! So full disclosure, she's completely unbiased when it comes to this review of the film. This origin story between The Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba and the Good Witch, Glinda was originally brought to the stage by Winnie Holzman (book adaptation) and Stephen Schwartz (music and lyrics). The film adaptation is Directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians, In The Heights) and starring Cynthia Erivo (Bad Times at the El Royale, Harriet, The Outsider), Ariana Grande (Don't Look Up, Sam & Cat) and Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park, The Fly, Independence Day).
