A Conversation w/ Two Pastors of Colonial America in the 1700's - The Revivals That Brought Change to Hearts and Society

This week, on Wheat Among the Tares, we step in with an interim program to coincide with the present series on the Contemporary Church. We step back in church history to hear from two pastors from colonial America (mid-1700’s) regarding the status of religion and the spiritual carelessness of the people during this time period. We read from two different letters that have been published in the book, “ The Log College” by Archibald Alexander in 1851. Join us as we hear how the Spirit of God moved on the hearts of men, especially the young people of their day, to awaken them, and bring about a change to their lives and an impact on thesociety of the day. This narrative is a far cry from the “revivals” of what is happening on college campuses today and how the results of these “professions”, that have failed to change the spiritual landscape of our day…
