Why do voters (in Blue cities) fall for politicians peddling FREE stuff? Haven't we seen this playbook thousands of times at this point? Fiat money is nearly FREE but the REAL resources that politicians use to purchase these resource are absolutely NOT FREE. This is especially challenging for levels of government that cannot access the printing press because they have to steal it from somebody. Mamdani has his eyes set on "the rich". Margaret Thatcher famously said, "The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."
