Negin Ponce's journey began amidst the chaos of Kabul, Afghanistan, she and her family fled their home during the Soviet war in the late 1980s. Arriving in the United States as a young Muslim girl, Negin faced the challenge of reconciling her heritage with the pressures of assimilating into western culture while adhering to her family's expectations of being a "good Muslim girl." As a teenager, her journey took a dramatic turn when she fell in love with Alex, a non-Afghan non-Muslim man, leading to an unexpected pregnancy. But her parents' vehement disapproval shattered her dreams, culminating in a heartbreaking decision—an enforced abortion and an arranged marriage abroad. Yet, Negin summoned the courage to break free and return to the U.S., where she followed her heart and eloped with Alex. Together, they've weathered life's storms, raising 4 children over their 21-year marriage. Yet, amid the joys of motherhood and outward success, Negin was plagued by depression and anxiety while battling inner demons and grappling with a profound spiritual void. In a moment of divine intervention, a vision of the Crosses of Calvary led her to a Calvary Chapel, where she encountered the transformative power of the Gospel and worship music, experiencing a profound release from her burdens as she embraced Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. However, Negin's newfound faith didn't shield her from further trials. Struggling to walk the path of righteousness, she stumbled through years of despair and heartache. It wasn't until she humbly surrendered every aspect of her life to Christ that she found redemption. Embracing her faith wholeheartedly, Negin immersed herself in Women's Bible Studies, dedicated herself to serving in Children's Ministry, and answered the call to publicly profess her faith through baptism. Today, she is a testament to God's transformative power, sharing her story through her podcast and ministry, Springs of Agape Love. Through her words and deeds, she endeavors to draw others closer to the Cross, offering the same love and grace that transformed her own life and hope and healing to those who walk a similar path.
