They talk about Laura’s journey from solo workroom to respected leader in the WCAA, the roles she’s played at both the national and local chapter levels, and what’s kept her motivated through decades of industry change. It’s a story of staying power, service, and deep love for the trade.
More About Laura Nelson
The owner of Sew Nice located in West Lafayette, Indiana. I have 30 years of experience with fabricating custom window treatments, slipcovers, other soft home furnishings for interior designers and home owners in Indiana.
I am a WFCP Workroom and Color Specialist and an active member of the Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA), currently serving as Co-President for the WCAA Indiana Chapter . As an educator, I have taught classes for the American Sewing Guild, the WCAA, and the Custom Workroom Conference. I volunteer my time and services frequently for community service projects.
