The Women In Radiology Education, or WIRED, podcast was created with our group’s mission in mind: empowering, supporting, and inspiring women. We intend to interview women in all stages of the path to a career in radiology—young ladies interested in STEM, medical students, residents, academic attendings, and community practitioners—and share their insight and wisdom with our listeners in hopes of ultimately reducing the overall disparity regarding women in radiology.

Join us in talking with Dr. Kristin K. Porter, M.D., Ph.D. during the inaugural episode of The WIRED Podcast! Dr. Porter completed her Diagnostic Radiology Residency in the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2014 and the Body and Cardiovascular MRI Fellowship at Johns Hopkins in 2015. After training, she joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins in the Body Imaging Division. In 2016, she joined the Abdominal Imaging faculty at the University of Alabama Birmingham, where she serves as the MR Modality Chief. She is proud to serve as the President of the American Association for Women in Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology Commission for Women and Diversity.
